Through my artistic practices, I strive to make creative work that is intimate, emotional, and truthful. With 23 years of life experience (and a deep connection with my therapist) under my belt, I allow myself to be open with my story-telling. I was raised by a single mother who begged me not to follow her footsteps and become a lawyer. Therefore, I would describe myself as an amateur interdisciplinary artist. By utilizing my initial background in film, I find that I’m able to speak about my struggles as a Chinese American adoptee. Always managing the environments around me and having a foot in both worlds. By allowing myself to be vulnerable, no matter the medium, I want to share projects that are both personal as well as relatable. Stories that happen during everyday life and ones that viewers can connect with.

Currently, I am working on obtaining a MA in Art Education. Between teaching, volunteer work, and personal artistic expression I hope to inspire other young artists to speak up and create from the heart about their own unique life experiences.
